Founded in 1996, we worked for other exporters till 2001. In 2002, we began manufacturing and exporting our own leather products and covered a million steps after that. Today, we stand as a leading B2B leather footwear manufacturer in Mumbai and a Government Recognised Export House.
Our footwear manufacturing company provides a semi-high-fashion range of leather sandals for men, women and kids, and proudly stands as the leading footwear manufacturer in Mumbai which grew from 150 pairs per day to 2500 pairs per day. Currently, we manufacture an average of 4.5 lakh pairs per year. Besides that, our overseas clients have significantly contributed to our company’s growth and that’s why we stand apart as the leading footwear exporters in Mumbai, India.

The Founders

Our Company was founded by our four directors, Samir Shah, Anil Patil, Amit Date and Bonaventure D’Souza. The name SAAB was derived from the initial alphabets of these 4 names. Their work experience at Ram Exports, the leading footwear manufacturer in the 80s in Mumbai, led to the idea of establishing SAAB Footwear, one of the notable footwear manufacturing companies in India.

Mr. Samir Shah

Director
He looks after the purchase and export in the shipping department. He worked as an Export Manager in Ram Exports. Moreover, thanks to his 35+ years of experience in the footwear industry that helps him handle various challenges.

Mr. Anil Patil

Director
He heads the finance and accounts departments and holds an M.Com degree. Besides that, he also looks after the production and operations to make sure that our footwear manufacturing company always fulfils the quality standards.

Mr. Amit Date

Director
He looks after the Research and Development (R&D), production and manufacturing departments. He holds a BSC degree and significantly contributes to taking SAAB Footwear to new heights.

Mr. Bonaventure D’Souza

Director
He primarily administers the production and operations department. He also oversees other departments and the work organisation of our company to ensure we meet our manufacturing goals.

Mr. Kevin D’Souza

Director
He is the fifth director of SAAB Footwear. He handles the customer relationship management, costs and purchasing of raw materials and the production and operation departments. He has 2 years of experience working in the corporate sector after which, he completed his MBA in Finance and joined SAAB Footwear in 2015.

Mr. Ankit Patil

Production and Operations
He looks after the overall production and operations and holds an MBA in Marketing. With a determination to learn with every challenge, he ensures that SAAB Footwear always remains a step ahead, overcoming all the odds.
